Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative

The rural residents of Cost, Texas, founded GVEC in 1938 and came together to bring electricity to their farms and ranches. Today, the GVEC electric service area spans 3,500 square miles across 13 South Central Texas counties. While electricity remains to be the core business, GVEC has expanded to offer high-speed internet, ac/heating, solar, battery and electrician services. These solutions go beyond the electric meter to bring greater convenience and value to members, customers, and communities. GVEC also serves the community through economic development, grants, donations, sponsorships, scholarships, port-a-cool units, community rooms, and in-kind services. GVEC loves doing business in Yoakum because of its welcoming small-town atmosphere, strong sense of community, and supportive, easy-to-work-with people. It’s a pleasure to serve such a great place!

Seasonal Special: In December, customers who donate a new, unwrapped toy can get $250 off select installation jobs or 10% off select services for ac/heating, solar, electrician and internet services! The toys will be donated to Legacy Ranch Kids, Gonzales.
