Tom Tom Festival
It’s a summer tradition that families throughout South Texas have enjoyed for over 90 years… The Yoakum Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Tom-Tom Festival! Held annually the first weekend in June, Yoakum's Tom Tom Festival is piece of a history wrapped in some good 'ol Texas fun!
The Tom Tom festival originated to honor Yoakum’s tomato industry, which was predominant in the area in the late 20s - early 30s. This Festival is one of the oldest in the region due to the “down home” style of fun, found only in South Texas and draws thousands each year... and for good reason. This popular event includes:
- Annual Tom-Tom BBQ and Bean Cook-Off
- Tom Tom Parade
- Softball Tournament
- Art & Crafts Booths
- Food Booths
- A Carnival
- Horseshoe and Washer Tournaments
- Live entertainment
- A Car Show
- And more….
This year’s festival will be held on May 30-June 1, 2019. Be sure and visit our Facebook page for more information. Click on the links below to download entry forms for the different events
